Residenstagare: Julietta Birkeland

Julietta Birkeland har arbetat professionellt med cirkus sedan 2012, främst som jonglör och parakrobat och på senare tid även med klättring i såväl träd som cirkuspåle. Julietta har en bred kunskap inom scenkonstens andra olika avdelningar så som clown, fysiskt teaterskådespeleri och performance art.
Julietta har setts i Kompani Giraffs föreställningar Tvärslöjd och Tråkmånsafton och har även medverkat i uppsättningar av Kungliga Operan, Cirkus Elvira, Cullbergbaletten samt i Anna the Cabaret med det egna kompaniet Big Panther Alliance.
Under sitt residens hos Riksteatern arbetar Julietta med projektet Påle med Hatt. Hon använder sig av en ombyggd, fristående poledance-påle som fått en liten plattform på toppen. Plattformen tillåter olika cirkuskonster och pålen skapar också många klättermöjligheter som Julietta kombinerar med bolljonglering och annan cirkusrekvisita som till exempel magneter, leksaker och andra olika gadgets.

Circus Residency
Resident: Julietta Birkeland

Julietta Birkeland has worked professionally with circus since 2012, mainly as a juggler and hand to hand artist, and more recently also with tree climbing and circus pole. Julietta has a broad knowledge in the other different disciplines of the performing arts such as clowning, physical theater acting and performance art.
Julietta has been seen in Kompani Giraff's performances Tvärslöjd and Tråkmånsafton and has also participated in productions by the Royal Swedish Opera, Cirkus Elvira, Cullbergbaletten and in Anna the Cabaret with her own company Big Panther Alliance.
During her residency at Riksteatern, Julietta is working on the project Påle med Hatt. She uses a converted, freestanding pole dance pole with a small platform on top. The platform allows for various circus tricks and the pole also creates many climbing opportunities that Julietta combines with ball juggling and other circus props such as magnets, toys, and other various gadgets.
